1.Working principle
Under lightning conditions, when the lightning descending leader approaches the ground, any conductive surface will produce an ascending leader. In the case of passive lightning rods, the upward leader will only propagate after a long period of charge regrouping. The excitation time of the upstream pilot of the SI pre-discharge air-termination device is greatly shortened. In the case of high static electric field characteristics before lightning discharge, the SI E pre-discharge air-termination device will generate pulses of controllable amplitude and frequency at the tip of the needle, which makes the lightning rod produce an upward pilot and propagate upward, thereby intercepting the downward direction emitted by the thundercloud. Lead.
2.Lightning Arrester Testing
The SI pre-discharge air-termination system is carried out in the high-voltage laboratory. Test, this test imitates the natural lightning occurrence condition, allows the performance comparison between different lightning protection systems.
The test imitates the natural electric field conditions, a constant electric field (caused by the charge between the cloud and the ground, simulated by a DC generator in the test room) superimposed on a pulsed electric field (caused by the lower conductor close to the ground, caused by a long Marx generator of the front wave to simulate). The corona at the tip of the rod is measured by a photomultiplier tube method to determine the trigger time of simple passive lightning rods (SR) and SI pre-discharge air-termination devices.
In this way, the average value of simple passive lightning rods (SR) and PDC pre-discharge air-termination can be determined. The time difference is defined as T(SR) minus T(SI) to obtain the advance time ΔT of the SI advance discharge air-termination device.
