2.Down conductors: Conduct lightning current from the air-termination system to the grounding device.
3.Earthing system: Earth electrodes, earthing busbars, grounding grids; discharge lightning current into the ground.
1.Equipotential bonding: Unified equipotential connection for metal pipelines, cable trays, equipment enclosures and metal doors & windows.
2.Shielding system: Metal shielding layers of cables, metal conduits and machine room shielding to reduce electromagnetic induction.
3.Wiring lightning protection: Separated layout of strong and weak current cables with reasonable wiring spacing.
Classified by installation position:
●Power SPD: Three-level protection for main power distribution, floor power distribution and equipment front end.
●Signal SPD: Lightning protection for network, monitoring, telephone, access control, fire protection and IoT signal lines.
●Feeder SPD: Special use for base stations, antennas and satellite receiving equipment.
Artificial earth electrodes, natural earth electrodes (building foundation steel bars), main earthing lines, equipotential terminal boxes, lightning detection, lightning isolation and overvoltage monitoring devices.
A complete lightning protection system consists of six core links:
Air-termination → Down conduction → Earthing → Equipotential bonding → Shielding → SPD surge protection。
